Week of Cute Remarks
A few nights ago, Blythe was eating some mac and cheese. She paused while she was eating, sat back in her chair, closed her eyes, smiled and said, "I just LOVE this mac and cheese...I can't get it out of my mind!"
Then last night, she looked at me and started grinning. She devilishly asked, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I said, "I don't know. What are you thinking?" She leaned over and whispered in my ear, "I love you sooo much!" I looked at her and said, "Yes Sweetie, that WAS exactly what I was thinking too."

Hermey the Elf
Tonight, Blythe and I were on our way to go see one of our friends play for a Christmas show. Our friend plays guitar in a rockabilly band, and always wears a cowboy hat. (Well, I'm sure he takes it off sometimes, but we have always seen him wearing one.)
Out of the blue, she says to me, (from the back seat, as I'm driving) "Mom, do you think our friend wants to be a cowboy instead of a rock star? You know--like Hermey the Elf wanted to be a dentist, and not an elf."
Maybe, just maybe...
